Canadian violin and piano duo Katie Stillman and Miaomiao Yu met while studying at the Young Artistsʼ Performance Academy at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. It is there that they began their first exploration into chamber music together and went on to perform many concerts across Canada . Katie and Miaomiaoʼs paths diverged when they followed major scholarships to study at separate universities. Now both based in London, Katie and Miaomiao are delighted to renew their collaboration when they perform together on the 18th June 2008 at the Royal Oversea League. More
Their programme will be Beethoven Sonata no 7. in C minor op. 30 no. 2; Stravinsky Duo Concertante; Chopin Andante Spianato and Grand Polonaise; Prokofiev Sonata no. 2.
Following their recent highly succesful performance at the Wigmore Hall for The Park Lane Group (Monday Platform Series) Katie and Simon are very pleased to be able to make some new audio available. These clips are taken from the live recording made of the concert by Nostromo.

Following her recent performance in the finals of the Royal Over-Seas League Awards for Musicians from Overseas, with recital partner Simon Lane, Katie was delighted to receive the Edith Phipps Memorial Prize 2007. We are delighted to announce that Katie Stillman and Simon Lane have been selected for the PLG Young Artists New Year Series, following their recent audition.
Katie recently became a Wingate Scholar, and is grateful for the support she will be given by the Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation for the next two years.
Katie was delighted to be a prize-winner at the 2006 CMC International Stepping Stones Competition.
