Simon will be performing the Medtner Piano Concerto No. 3 in E minor, Op. 60 as part of Leicester Symphony Orchestra’s Russian Evening at De Montfort Hall on Saturday 19-May-18.
Following his highly successful debut in Hong Kong, where Simon Callaghan performed Rachmaninov’s Paganini Rhapsody Op. 43 with the Pro Arte Orchestra and Conductor Ho-man Choi, he now looks forward to working with Leicester Symphony Orchestra and Kingston Chamber Orchestra in May and June respectively.
Simon Callaghan’s next CD for Hyperion will go on general release on 29th June. The recording, of concertos by Bernhard Scholz and Josef Rheinberger with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Ben Gernon, will be released as Volume 76 of Hyperion’s Romantic Piano Concerto Series.
