Aquarelle Guitar Quartet to take a journey to Wales and then around the World

The Aquarelle Guitar Quartet perform at St. Asaph Cathedral, Denbighshire on Friday 29th September as part of the highly regarded North Wales International Music Festival.

In keeping with the festival’s theme, ‘Journeys’, the Aquarelle Guitar Quartet will take the audience around the World with this fabulous programme:

Several of these pieces feature on the group’s latest recording for Chandos, ‘Aspects’, which was selected as ‘Editor’s Choice’ by Gramophone Magazine.

 

Film music fans will be delighted to see that Gustavo Santaolalla’s De Usuahia a la Quiaca – from Motorcycle Diaries – and Rhyuichi Sakamoto’s Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence – both from the quartet’s highly popular album ‘Final Cut’ – will also be played live at the festival.
