The Monte Piano Trio are currently in Frankfurt recording their second CD on the Genuin label. The disc spans three consecutive centuries of writing for piano trio by three women composers and includes works by Clara Schumann, Amy Beach and Natalie Klouda, who has dedicated her piece to the trio.

The trio’s first recording ‘From a Tender Age’ – works by Shostakovich, Rachmaninov, Mahler, Boulanger and Ireland, with Daniel Rowland viola – was warmly received and they were praised for their outstanding musicianship.

The multi-prizewinning Monte Piano Trio, founded in 2008 at the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt am Main, have performed at renowned festivals including Schleswig-Holstein, Osnabrück, Mozartfest Würzburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommen, Heidelberger Frühling, Stift International Festival in Holland and Constella Festival in USA. They have also played at at London’s Wigmore Hall, Conway Hall and Kings Place.
