Saffron Hall Debut with the Essex Youth Orchestra

Robin is currently regularly involved with five different orchestras across the country, his latest appointment being Musical Director of the Havant Chamber Orchestra. Over the weekend he travelled to Saffron Walden to continue in his capacity as conductor and musical director of the Essex Youth Orchestra, this time performing in the incredible new Saffron Hall. The concert hall opened in 2014, and has already welcomed artists such as Nicola Benedetti and Ian Bostridge. The LPO, Britten Sinfonia and Czech Philharmonic have made their debut here – and then it was the turn of Robin and the Essex Youth Orchestra.

The programme included Shostakovich, Smetana and Dvorak as well as some lesser known music by  Graeme Koehne. Robin is thoroughly looking forward to returning to Saffron Hall and the EYO!
