The Dutch Musical Instrument Foundation has announced that they are making this exquisite instrument available to the acclaimed violinist Daniel Rowland.
Rowland – pictured above with the Guarneri del Gesu – says:
“I am delighted, excited and honoured to be given this beautiful violin on loan from the Dutch Musical Instrument Foundation. It’s the 1736 ‘ex-Rode’ Guarneri del Gesu. It’s a violin with an incredible history and I’m hugely looking forward to discovering all the secrets hidden within! My big thanks to Frits Schutte and to all at the foundation for making this possible!”
