Solem Quartet Offers Education Work in Schools and Universities

The Solem Quartet is committed to taking its music to as wide an audience as possible, and especially to young people. Each member of the group is an experienced teacher and as a quartet they have performed and collaborated with young people in many contexts through their regular university visits, workshops and classes with primary and secondary schools and work with the charity ‘Live Music Now’ which provides support to people with special needs.

The Solem Quartet has been ‘Quartet in Residence’ at the University of Liverpool since September 2016 and from 2015-17 held the Junior Fellowship in Chamber Music at the RNCM, involving the provision of regular coaching to student chamber ensembles.

Stemming from their wide experience the Solem Quartet is able to provide engaging content specifically crafted for the particular age group and which is designed to stimulate imagination and encourage conversation.
